Winner Announcement — PMI Arizona Chapter Logo Contest We’re excited to announce that Submission #13 has been selected as the winning design for the PMI Arizona Chapter logo! The winning concept highlights a bold, modern interpretation of Arizona’s landscape and culture, creating a strong visual identity for our new statewide chapter. Thank you to everyone who submitted creative entries and supported this effort to launch our new chapter identity. Per the contest guidelines, we’ll now finalize the artwork to align with PMI global brand standards and recognize the winner across our website and channels. The PMI Chapter logo guidelines below are the standards we must adhere to in the final product. If you have an idea and/or a sketch, you can submit that. The PMI Marketing Team will adapt the final product to meet this standard.

PMI Arizona Chapter Logo Contest Official Rules

1. Eligibility

  • The contest is open to all individuals aged 18 and older.

  • Participants under the age of 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian.

  • PMI membership is not required to enter.

  • Employees, board members, and committee members of the PMI Arizona Chapter or its Steering Committee are not eligible to win but may submit designs for consideration.


2. Submission Guidelines

  • Each participant may submit up to two (2) logo designs.

  • Designs must be submitted via the official submission form by the deadline: August 15, 2025.

  • Logo files must be in high-resolution PNG, JPG, or PDF format. Vector files (e.g., .AI, .EPS, or .SVG) are strongly encouraged and may be requested from finalists.

  • Each submission must include a short written description (max 250 words) explaining the concept and symbolism behind the logo.


3. Design Requirements

  • Logos must meet the official PMI Global Brand Guidelines, which are available for download on the PMI Arizona Chapter Logo Contest page. Participants are strongly encouraged to review these requirements before submitting.

  • Designs must:

    • Include the full name “PMI Arizona Chapter”

    • Align with PMI's branding standards for color, typography, spacing, and logo lock-up

    • Be original, professional, and visually distinct

    • Be functional in full color, black and white, and grayscale formats

    • Be adaptable for various digital and print uses (web, social media, signage, merchandise, etc.)

  • File formats must include high-resolution PNG, JPG, or PDF. Finalists may be asked to provide vector formats (.AI, .EPS, or .SVG).

  • All entries must include a brief written description (max 250 words) explaining the concept and design rationale.


4. Selection Process

  • All eligible submissions will be reviewed by a judging panel composed of members of the PMI Arizona Chapter Formation Steering Committee.

  • Submissions will be evaluated based on:

    • Alignment with PMI brand guidelines

    • Relevance to the chapter’s mission, values, and identity

    • Visual appeal, originality, and creativity

    • Scalability and adaptability across platforms and media

    • Clarity and professionalism of execution

  • Finalists may be contacted for revisions or to submit additional file types.

  • The winning logo will be announced on or before September 15, 2025.


5. Prizes

  • The winner of the PMI Arizona Chapter Logo Contest will receive:

    • A $200 cash prize

    • Recognition on the PMI Arizona Chapter website, newsletter, and social media

    • A featured spotlight or interview in a chapter publication


6. Intellectual Property & Usage Rights

  • By entering the contest, participants agree that if their logo is selected as the winner:

    • The design becomes the sole property of PMI Arizona Chapter.

    • The chapter reserves the right to modify the logo for formatting, branding, or usability purposes.

    • The designer will waive any claims to further compensation or ownership rights beyond the designated prize.


7. General Conditions

  • PMI Arizona Chapter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest if necessary.

  • The decision of the judging panel is final.

  • By submitting an entry, participants agree to these rules and the use of their name and design in promotional materials.
